Our mother entered into rest this morning with her husband of 66 years by her side. She went swiftly and quietly and we are all sad but happy too as she was ready to go and her body was ready to let her go. She had a wonderful full life, was one of the strongest people I have ever known. In all my life I have never heard her say a discouraging word about anyone. She never talked shit about people, and found pure joy in small and simple things. Like Christmas lights and free stuff at a garage sale. She always made the most out of every situation and I can only hope to be half as good as her. So it is not with great sadness that I write this post, it is with great joy of having the privilege to call this remarkable woman my mother. At 91 and a half years of age she is truly a legend. She will be missed dearly. Look up in to the heavens tonight and you will see a new bright and shining star. Mother Alice, may you joyously reconnect with your brothers and sisters, mother and father, and we all look forward to when we see you again, in heaven. Thanks for being the most. Thanks for being you.
